                                   Return Policy for Defective Products Only


At Foothills Studio, we’re committed to delivering high-quality art prints, ceramic coasters, and bath products that delight our customers. Our soaps are sold unpackaged on shelves in-store and wrapped in tissue at the time of purchase; online orders are shipped in the same way, without individual packaging or labeling unless otherwise stated. We accept returns for defective products only, such as items with manufacturing flaws (e.g., torn prints, misaligned printing, cracked or chipped coasters, improperly sealed bath product packaging, or soaps with visible contamination or irregularities) or damage incurred during shipping. We do not accept returns for non-defective items, including issues related to color variations (due to monitor settings), size, scent preferences, or personal preference.

Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, the defective product must meet the following conditions:

  • The item must be unused (beyond inspection) and in its original condition. For unpackaged soaps, this means the soap must not have been used, cut, or exposed to water, and must be returned in the tissue wrap provided at purchase. For other bath products, any packaging or tags must remain attached.

  • Shipping damage must be reported within 7 days of receiving your order to align with carrier claim deadlines. For unpackaged soaps, this includes visible damage like crumbling or breakage during shipping.

  • Manufacturing defects (e.g., print errors, coaster glazing issues, leaking bath product containers, or soaps with embedded debris or irregular composition) must be reported within 30 days of receiving your order.

  • You must provide proof of purchase (e.g., order confirmation email or receipt).

  • For in-store purchases, the same conditions apply.

Return Process

  • Contact Us: Email us at artists@foothillsstudio.online or call 740-294-4592 within 7 days for shipping damage or 30 days for manufacturing defects. Include:

    • Your order number.

    • A brief description of the defect.

    • Clear photographs showing the defect (e.g., torn print, cracked coaster, leaking bath product, or damaged/contaminated soap). For shipping damage, include photos of the shipping packaging.

  • Approval: We’ll review your request within 48 hours and, if approved, provide instructions for returning the item or confirm if photos suffice.

  • Ship the Item: If a return is required, send the defective product to:
    Foothills Studio, 416 N. Whitewoman St, Coshocton, OH 43812.
    For approved shipping damage claims, we’ll provide a prepaid return label. For manufacturing defects, customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise stated. We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we are not liable for lost return packages.

  • Inspection: Once we receive and inspect the item (or verify photos), we’ll notify you about the status of your return.

Refunds or Replacements
For approved returns, we offer:

  • A full refund to your original payment method, or

  • A replacement item (based on availability), at your choice.
    Refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days of receiving the returned item or approving the claim. Allow additional time for your bank to process the transaction. Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the defect is due to shipping damage.

Non-Returnable Items
We do not accept returns for:

  • Non-defective items, including those affected by color variations due to monitor settings, scent preferences, or personal preference.

  • Soap and bath products (e.g., soaps, lotions, milk baths, room sprays) unless defective (e.g., leaking packaging, damaged during shipping, visible contamination, or manufacturing irregularities). Due to their nature as hygiene and personal care items, soap and bath products cannot be returned once used or opened, even partially, unless they are defective upon arrival. For unpackaged soaps, this includes any soap that has been used, cut, or exposed to water, as we cannot verify its condition post-purchase.

  • Items damaged due to misuse, improper handling, or normal wear and tear.

  • Custom or personalized art prints, coasters, or bath products, unless defective.

In-Store Returns
If you purchased an art print, coaster, or bath product at our physical store, you may return defective items directly to 416 N. Whitewoman St, Coshocton, OH 43812 within 7 days for shipping damage or 30 days for manufacturing defects. Bring your receipt, the defective item (with tissue wrap for soaps), and photographs of the defect for inspection.
