I didn’t want to admit it, but I guess I’m getting old. This morning, I caved and flipped on the furnace. Don’t get me wrong, I love autumn—it’s hands-down my favorite season. The rolling hills of Coshocton County are bursting with fiery reds and golds, and that pumpkin spice scent is everywhere (not that I’m complaining!). But what really gets me excited is the lineup of fall fun kicking off next weekend, starting with the annual Apple Butter Stirrin’ festival right here in Roscoe Village, October 17-19. If you’re like me and lose track of time, mark your calendar now!
There’s nothing like the energy of the Stirrin’—folks from all over gathering to celebrate with music, crafts, and, of course, that sweet, simmering apple butter. I can already smell it! Our little store and gallery will be buzzing, and I’d love for you to stop by and share in the fun. It’s the perfect time to catch up with neighbors, swap stories, and soak in the cozy fall vibes. Even though I’m not winter’s biggest fan (despite my winter-themed artwork!), I can’t resist the warmth of this community coming together.
And if that’s not enough to get you out and about, don’t miss the Coshocton County Fall Foliage & Farm Tour on October 18-19! It’s a free, drive-it-yourself adventure showcasing our stunning autumn leaves, local farms, and hidden gems across the county. Pick up your map at the fairgrounds and wind through the hills—maybe even swing back to Roscoe Village for a break at our store. Pair it with the Stirrin’ for the ultimate weekend getaway right in our backyard
While you’re here, check out our new greeting card collection featuring stunning artwork by Jack & Lynn. These cards capture the heart and soul of our local scenery and stories, making them the perfect way to share a piece of Roscoe Village with someone special or to keep as a unique memento. Pop by the store to see them, or watch our website for the full collection coming soon.
Swing by during the festival, say hi, and see what’s new on our shelves or at our website. So, bundle up, bring your friends, and come stir up some memories with us. What’s your favorite fall spot in Coshocton County? Pop in and tell me—I can’t wait to hear!
See you soon, Jack
